The Knights Have FallenIt's certainly been an interesting and lengthy crusade, but I am here to report that the Knights of CyberSpace will shut down at the end of this month, February, 2010. While we've enjoyed bringing social PC and console gaming to Michiana, the current economic environment has made it impossible to sustain the LAN game center, even at the minimalist level. Trust me, we tried. This was certainly not an easy decision to make. Computer Systems Rx, the computer services business, will remain open; and we will continue to offer computer sales and repair as this side of the business is flourishing in this economy. Certainly our quality work, prices and customer service have allowed us to continue here. So if you want to partake in our last few days of business, be sure to come in and get your game on before we close this Saturday at midnight; and thank you for supporting us all these years.

Ok, I have a couple questions: 1) Will it be closed for good? Like, if the economy picks back up, will you guys reopen? 2) Does this affect Rootjack in anyway? 3) What will become of all the computers and mouse pads? Well, I doubt I will be the only person to mourn the loss of this great lan center. Sadly, there isn't much that can be done about it now. I just can't believe that this has happened. I'll miss you guys.

1) At this time it looks like for good. 2) For now no, but eventually you may have to go to one of the other local stores to get RootJack. 3) Not sure. Lito may sell some of them, and some of them may become stations we can use to give training classes in the future.

Well, if you do sell some of them, I might want to buy one. What level of Dx can your computers support? Also, I would like to get/earn/buy one of the LL mousepads. They are amazing. And, I am most likely coming in to say one last goodbye.

DX9... it's a limitation of Windows XP, not the system.

Ok, don't know much about the Dx, and stuff, but do you think this will be enough to play future games?
Also, NERO and I would like to know, are you guys selling your mice? Those things are amazing. NERO also said that if you guys do sell the comps, he might buy one too.
Also, I would like to know if I can buy the big Bawls sign on the wall.

We'll have more details AFTER we close. For now, just think good thoughts and come play some games.

Ok, sorry about being so obnoxious about this stuff, but the early bird gets the bird, as they say.
Also, I am probably coming in on saturday.

"early bird gets the bird"? WTF Cannibal Birds?
Seriously, I do wish to partake in the general "If it ain't nailed down" spirit. Like the Gas Mask under the clock. Heck, even the clock. I need a clock.
But seriously, I'm really bummed out such a great place is gettin' thrown to the lions by the economy. I'm gonna miss the great times I've had here (Like the moment that forever banished the name "Berlin" from my friend's conversations, and who can forget the car coming through the wall?).
'Tis a sad, sad day.

None of the wall-mounted nostalgia items will be sold, FYI.

So no Bawls poster? All right then. Well, just say when you wanna' talk about selling stuff. I'm always here. Also, they are not actually canibal birds, they are just zombies, so its not really canibalism.

One is ready for sale. Lito has it at $250 including monitor. He added a DVD burner as well.

Is it in good condition? Will it be able to run all the games it could at KNoCS? Because if it can, I'll probably be down there this week. (with cash). Also, I was wondering if it could run Borderlands? P.S. I just thought I should tell you that you just made my day.

It is the same computer you played on at KNoCS except it has a DVD burner in it. There should be no difference. Of course if you install a bunch of background applications, it will seem to run slower. KNoCS always kept the comps nice and clean.
I have no idea if it will run Borderlands.
Just to be up front, keep in mind that while these are nice computers, they are at the end of their upgrade cycle. There isn't anything you can do to make them faster. That is why they are priced so low.
