Should be interesting how they work it out without making it a re-hash of the original.

Exactly. One of the new things that they are adding in this new game is 2 player mode. Aparently, you have to work together with another person to get through the level. Probably will be some levels where you race to the finish, or see who can solve the puzzle first.

My question is how the portals will work. Will you each get a set of portals, will you each get one portal, and what color the portals will be as to not confuse you portals with you buddy's portal. There will also be a separate single player mode, so I'm looking forward to it.
